The Buckle Shoe has a 1960s-feeling buckle (think Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour,) a demi heel that clocks in at just under an inch, and a slightly cushioned insole that feels like a dream on your feet. This pair is made in Italy with a cotton basketweave with a very mod tortoise buckle. And style-wise, they've got some range: polished and ladylike with a silk blouse, a little Twiggy-mod with a trim skirt, and disarmingly cool with some broken-in jeans and a t-shirt. A bestseller since 2014 for a reason.
